Modern software systems are complex, interconnected “ecosystems”—understanding and managing ecosystems
Modern software systems are highly complex, interconnected, and dynamic – comparable to biological ecosystems. They consist of interdependencies between software, hardware, and human interactions. Classical analytical methods are often insufficient in these situations.
To ensure quality, maintainability, and efficiency, a combined external and internal perspective is necessary. In collaboration with SBA Research, Objentis developed the research project and product I-SEE – Integrated Software Ecosystem Evaluation.
I-SEE evaluates software ecosystems based on technical, social, and strategic metrics and uses machine learning to proactively manage risks and quality issues.
I-SEE delivers actionable insights for various stakeholders:
Early feedback on problematic code changes
Prioritization of testing strategies according to risk areas
Insights into workload distribution and quality risks
Support with auditing, due diligence and risk assessment
When companies want to optimize their testing processes and procedures and adapt them to new challenges, an external assessment from Objentis offers new, often surprising opportunities for process improvement.
Our approach is based on the concept of relational change management (Dr. Sonja Radatz): The goal is not a slow change, but a rapid optimization – three days of assessment, optimization proposals within one week, immediate implementation after approval by management.
We offer location analysis in the following areas:
Development including related areas: requirements management and testing
Testing as a hub for development, department and management
Processes and OrganizationOperations and infrastructure
Customized individual configuration
Early code analysis provides crucial information about software quality long before functional tests and allows for targeted corrections in early project phases. It is increasingly becoming an integral part of acceptance procedures and contributes to the long-term maintainability and extensibility of software.
Static analysis unfolds its full potential within an integrated test concept: It improves test coverage and supports project planning, control and benchmarking.
Objentis integrates different analysis methods into a comprehensive view and performs code analyses as assessments – ideally in early development phases.
