Commitment that goes further: Support initiatives that add value.
Since 2012, we have supported the work of Together Against Landmines (GGL Austria). As an internationally active company, we are committed to taking on social responsibility and providing assistance where it is urgently needed.
We are pleased to fund GGL Austria’s projects and support affected areas. Whether through mine clearance, awareness campaigns, or providing assistance to victims, this work offers hope and security. In addition to financial support, it is equally important for us to offer advice and actively promote the mission of a mine-free world.
Roland Tscheinig personally accepted the certificate. It confirms Objentis’ long-standing support for “Together Against Landmines” and underscores our commitment to awareness, mine clearance, and assistance for landmine victims.
“Information and communication technologies are bringing the world closer together. As an internationally active company, Objentis accepts its responsibility to help where need and misfortune are evident: such as the danger posed by landmines. Supporting aid projects of Together Against Landmines is therefore part of Objentis’ CSR.”
“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights,” reads the first sentence of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Unfortunately, this statement still doesn’t apply to everyone: in many regions and in many areas of life, women face discrimination, lack of access to education, exploitation, and violence. Amnesty International aims to change this: through research, campaigns, and actions, the organization works to reduce injustice and discrimination.
For many years, Objentis has supported Amnesty International, this year focusing on the “Women’s Rights Are Human Rights” initiative.
We stand for an open and diverse society with social cohesion. Therefore, for the past 20 years, we have dedicated 1% of our revenue to initiatives and projects in the areas of social responsibility, art and culture, and sustainable development.
Throughout the year, Objentis has supported numerous social projects. Continuing this tradition, we are concluding 2023 and welcoming the new year by once again supporting the “People for People” initiative.
This action is a sign of our support for the valuable work of “People for People” in Ethiopia, a cause close to the heart of our Managing Director, Roland Tscheinig, who has personally witnessed its impact firsthand.
“People for People” provides a platform and opportunities for all those who want to make a positive difference in the world to advocate for women, men, and children in Ethiopia. Their goal is to empower them to lead self-determined lives through their own efforts. Through their projects in various regions of Ethiopia, they have demonstrated that working together leads to sustainably improved living conditions.
A peaceful, livable future requires justice and respect for human dignity. This demands voices of warning. For more than 60 years, Amnesty International has been such a voice, heard worldwide. Amnesty fights against discrimination and advocates for justice – everywhere in the world. The protection of people in armed conflicts, of women and children, and of refugees is of particular importance to the organization.
Aid is more than giving charity; it means ensuring human dignity. For years, OBJENTIS has supported Amnesty International’s work, currently focusing on the “I ran from Iran” initiative for persecuted people in Iran.
In our interconnected world, we see advocating for an open and diverse society with strong social cohesion as an ethical obligation. Therefore, for 20 years, we have dedicated 1% of our revenue to initiatives and projects in the areas of social responsibility, art and culture, and sustainable development.
The war in Ukraine deeply saddens us, and we want to contribute to alleviating the suffering, at least to some extent. Several of our employees are originally from Ukraine, and they share with us firsthand how they, along with their families and friends there, are affected.
Some may recall stories from their parents or grandparents about the CARE packages that arrived in Austria after World War II. Objentis has so far provided €35,000 in emergency aid to Ukraine. This money is being distributed to CARE Austria and Nachbar in Not (Neighbor in Need), and some of it is also being given directly to support our affected employees.
Our employees have also made generous donations, which Objentis has matched.
In 2021, Objentis supported Reporters Without Borders for the first time.
We are fortunate to live in freedom, in a stable democracy. A free press is essential for this; it is the “fourth pillar” of democracy. By explaining connections, exposing injustices, and presenting complex issues in an understandable way, reporters make a significant contribution to the informed and empowered citizens. In many countries, they risk losing their income, and far too often, their freedom and their lives: in 2021, 25 journalists were killed and 358 imprisoned.
Reporters Without Borders is committed to ensuring that information remains a human right and supports persecuted reporters. The organization works worldwide to uphold the right to press freedom and diversity of opinion. Information and communication technology represents the free exchange of ideas, which is why we have a particular responsibility to contribute to critical reporting and independent journalism. Objentis therefore supports Reporters Without Borders.
