In a networked world, we understand the commitment to an open and diverse society with strong social cohesion as an ethical obligation.
Objentis has supported many initiatives and organizations to date. A selection of these can be found below.
We offer our employees the opportunity to allocate a monthly portion of their salary to social causes – and Objentis will match this contribution.
Companies also bear responsibility for society. OBJENTIS defines this responsibility through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – as a voluntary contribution by businesses to sustainable development. This includes supporting cultural initiatives and aid projects for people in need, as well as environmental and climate protection, fairness towards employees and suppliers, and equal treatment regardless of gender, ethnic origin, religious or sexual orientation.
Information and communication technologies are bringing the world closer together. In a globalized working world, we, as an IT company, are globally networked, and this networking is essential for innovation, cooperation, and exchange. Many of our employees also have their roots in other countries. We see an open and diverse society with strong social cohesion not only as an ethical obligation but also as a prerequisite for both successful – yet socially responsible – business practices and for innovation.
Since 2011, OBJENTIS has supported social initiatives and aid projects both domestically and internationally, donating an average of one percent of its revenue. Our aim is twofold: firstly, to help people in acute need after natural disasters, as a result of displacement and forced migration, or in cases of serious illness; and secondly, to support initiatives that contribute to long-term improvements in living conditions, such as educational projects, cancer research, and integration programs.
In particular, we support various focus projects through the organization CARE, including refugee aid in Thailand. We are also active in providing aid to Ethiopia through Menschen für Menschen (People for People), where our CEO, Roland Tscheinig, visited several projects on-site to learn more, and in Tanzania through the organization Shikamana.
Other organizations to which we regularly donate include Stiftung Kindertraum (Children’s Dream Foundation), SOS Mitmensch (SOS Children’s Villages), and Amnesty International. Furthermore, our employees and our managing director regularly participate in the Vienna Night Run with charity entries, the proceeds of which benefit Licht für die Welt(Light for the World).
Objentis is also active in the field of art and culture. For example, the Vienna Neubau Choir, which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2020, received financial support, and in 2022 and 2023 we were one of the sponsors of Kurt Prohaska’s STORY OF JAZZ.
Our office space is made available to artists as an exhibition area. In cooperation with the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, this has supported young artists.
